Pepper Photos
As we progress through the growing season, some of the varieties look really cool. Here are some good shots below.
Giant Ghost Pepper
I can't wait to see how hot these guys get when they are ripe (red). They are coming along nicely, but I suspect they will get larger before they start to ripen.
Bolivian Rainbow
This one looks really cool as it grows. The flowers are white and purple. Then the peppers form and go from Purple, to White, to Red. Guess that's why they call it the Rainbow.
Rooster Spur
The whole batch of these very quickly ripened from green to red.
Charleston
The Charleston did much better out in the Seattle climate. I don't think it digs on the heat so much down here in Florida like the other guys do. However, it's still making peppers so I'm hoping I get a decent batch of these.
Long Slim Red
These were the seeds I got for free with my order. They grew the fastest and ripened the fastest. I've already picked several of these to use in cooking. They have a mild heat and seem to dry well for making pepper flakes.
Atomic Starfish
This is the plant in the foreground. The star-like peppers are beginning to form and it has a ton of blooms on it so I'm hoping for a favorable yield.
Ripe Ghost Pepper
These suckers are HOT!!!! Be very careful consuming these.
Lots of Peppers
Got a very good crop this year. Tons of peppers being produced by all the plants.
Harvest
Ghost peppers on the right, assorted varieties on the left. I've had 3 harvests of this amount so far and the plants are still making peppers.
