This sauce is the result of over a decade of experimentation. I started making hot sauce when I received a make your own hot sauce kit as a gift from a friend. The kit came with a variety of spices and recipes, but didn't create the exact flavor I was trying to achieve. From that point, I started adding some common hot peppers and fresh vegetables to pump up the flavor and get some more heat. Quickly I began to realize that the only hot peppers I was ever going to be able to experiment with were Habaneros and Jalapenos, since those are the only ones readily available at Farmer's Markets and Grocery Stores.
I then decided to start growing my own hot peppers so I could try a bunch of different kinds in my sauces. That was reallly the original basis of even starting a web site so that I could talk about growing the different varieties.
Last year I grew Ghost Peppers for the first time. Bingo! That was the extra flavor and heat I needed to come up with a truly unique and tasty hot sauce. Everyone loved it so much, I decided to get it bottled. After 6 months of working with bottlers, the product is finally ready to share with others this summer.
